Thank you for your interest in our 2026 Summer Volunteer Program.   We hope you find your volunteer experience valuable and worthwhile.

Please complete all required fields below to create your applicant profile and apply for a volunteer position.  While every effort is made to place volunteers in areas they will find rewarding, placements cannot be guaranteed within a specific department, role, or shift.  

Our 2026 Summer Volunteer Program runs for 10 weeks, from June 22 through August 31, 2026.

VOLUNTEERS ARE REQUIRED TO COMMIT TO A MINIMUM OF EIGHT (8) WEEKS DURING THIS PROGRAM. 

Volunteers must be available for one to two three-four hour shifts per week Please ensure that your summer schedule allows for a full commitment to volunteering.  If you anticipate being unavailable for more than two weeks due to camps, practices, vacations, or other commitments, we strongly encourage you to apply in a future year. 

Applications will be accepted February 2, 2026 through March 10, 2026.

All applicants must be 15 years of age at the time of application.  High school students and individuals whose schedules allow them to volunteer while school is out for for the summer are eligible to participate.  Please note that while the minimum age to apply is 15, some volunteer roles and departments may require volunteers to be 16,18,or 21 years of age. 

COVID-19 Vaccines and Boosters are highly recommended for participation in our summer volunteer program.

Volunteer shifts are typically 3 hours long.
Morning shifts are scheduled between 9:00am and 1:00pm
Afternoon shifts are scheduled between 1:00pm and 6:00pm
Evening shifts are scheduled 4:00pm and 8:00pm

By submitting my application, I understand that Connecticut Children's
will consider me for a volunteer position on the basis of the
information I have furnished on this application form, and that
any false, misleading or incomplete statements made by me,
or any omission of material fact shall prevent my volunteering or
shall be cause for immediate dismissal from my volunteer assignment.

I understand that the staff of the Volunteer Services Department
will be conducting a background check on me prior to being placed.
As part of the volunteer application process, and at any time
during my volunteer placement, I authorize Connecticut Children's
or any of its affiliates to obtain the record of any conviction for
commission of a felony.
